My Wife Loves To Fight In Pant And Bra — Tricycle Rider Tells Court...

A tricycle rider, Jelili Olanrewaju, has sued for the divorce of his wife, Rafiat Olanrewaju, at the Ile Tuntun Customary Court, Mapo, Ibadan, Oyo State. Jelili sued for divorce on the grounds that his wife was stubborn, troublesome, quarrelsome and disrespectful to his parents and relatives. He added that she was always fighting him.

He thus prayed the court that their marriage be dissolved and the custody of the children granted him.

“The greatest mistake I have ever made in life was to marry my wife, “Jelili said.

“While we were dating, she hid her true nature from me. I thought I knew her well enough and believed she was going to be a dutiful wife. She started showing her true self the day we got married . And a week after I started regretting ever marrying her.

“We have lived in eight houses in the 11 years of our marriage as a result of my wife’s quarrelsome nature. My wife not only fights me; she also fights with our neighbours and people in the neighbourhood.

“She starts and ends the day fighting. Our neighbours wait to hear her shout and curse every morning. When they hear her voice, they know the day has broken.

”Our belongings were often thrown out by the different landlords we rented apartments from due to my wife’s unruly behaviour.

“The most shameful aspect of it is that everybody in our compound and neighbourhood has seen her nakedness, the plaintiff added.

“Whenever she wants to engage in a fight, she pulls off her clothes leaving only her pants and bra which are torn in the course of the fight thus leaving her stark naked.

“I’m a tricycle driver. I run the business in our neighbourhood. My family and I live on the little income I make from the business. Many times I have ended up spending this income to treat my passengers’. All because of my wife’s disgraceful act.

“There were times she would waylay me, drag down my passengers if they were females and fight them. She would not only embarrass them but assault them publicly. I bear the brunt of her misconduct because I carry the victims to the hospital for medical attention and pay the medical bills. This often disrupts my business anytime it happens, ”he stated.

“The last time she fought, we were again thrown out of our apartment by our landlord.

She fought naked with a tenant. I mediated in the matter, but she disregarded me. And same with the landlord and other co-tenants She fought and destroyed things in the compound which was the major reason we were sent packing.

“I decided we were going to live separately henceforth. I, therefore rented an apartment for her and paid N30,000 as rent while I moved into another apartment somewhere else.

“She came to my place with her sister early one morning to fight me. My offence according to them was that I was dating another lady. My mother was around then. She slapped my mother and tore her clothes for trying to mediate in the matter. They destroyed my property and went away with my money and fan.

“I went to report at the police station and a policeman went with me to effect her arrest at her sister’s place where she was hiding. We got there but her sister resisted her arrest and almost assaulted the policeman. I was then advised at the police station to come to court, “he stated.

Rafiat disagreed to her husband’s plea for divorce and custody of their children.

“My mother in-law is our problem, “the defendant stated.

“My husband and I and four others were living with her in her one-room apartment early in our marriage. Due to paucity of fund , I offered to help her sell cooked rice and amala (yam flour) which I hawked. This I did dutifully.

“Rather than being appreciative of this she started finding fault in all I did and encouraged my husband to take another wife.

“She’s is the cause of the frequent fights between me and my husband. The last time we fought, he sent me out. I went to my mother who sent delegates twice to his family to make peace but he and her mother refused to have me back.

“He later rented a N20,000 per annum apartment and left me and our three-year-old child. The place was bare- there was no bed, mattress or furniture. I was sleeping on cold floor with our baby for two months.

“I complained to him, but he did nothing.

“I told him it wasn’t decent to live alone as a married woman. I knelt down and begged him to please move in with me, but he told me his uncle would explain the situation of things to me.

“He refused to tell me where he was staying when I requested from him and stated that his mother must not know he was at my place.

“I eventually knew where he was staying and went there early one morning to carry the mattress we were once both using and some other household items. I knocked, opened the door and moved into the room and there I saw my husband in bed with a lady I can refer to as a younger sister of mine. I was shocked. He also felt embarrassed that I caught him pants down.

“He got up, put on his trousers and started beating me. Her mother who was around came in and joined him in beating me. They tore my clothes and left me stark naked.

“I don’t want my children to suffer by leaving them in another woman’s care. I still love my husband and I am not willing to part ways with him.

The court president, Chief Agbaje Olasunkanmi, after listening to the duo requested the presence of their parents in court in the next adjournment..

He thus adjourned the case till April 12 and ordered both parties to appear in court with their parents.

"My Wife Is Troublesome, Smokes Like A Chimney"-- Husband Laments...

“I’m tired of our marriage, my wife is too troublesome and has become a pain in my neck, please separate us and let me have the custody of our baby.” This was the plea of one Tunde Daudu during the hearing of the suit he brought against his wife, Opeyemi Daudu, at the Ojo Oba/Mapo Grade C Customary Court, Mapo, Ibadan Oyo State.
File Photo
Tunde had sued for a divorce on the ground that his wife was stubborn, never listened to him and always sought for every opportunity to fight him.

“I married my wife five years ago and our union is blessed with a female child who is three years old. But I’ve not known peace since we got married. “My wife disrespects me and never listens to me. She challenges my authority in the home and flouts whatever instruction I give her.

“Whenever she misbehaves and I table her faults before her she would tell me to do my worst and this, sometimes, lead to a fight,” he told the court.

President of the court,Chief Ademola Odunade, while listening to him asked if the allegations were his only reasons for suing for a divorce and he answered, “no”.

“My wife also smokes, She smokes like a chimney. “Since my job often takes me away from home, I decided that my wife and our baby move to my mum’s place. “It was my mum who informed me that my wife was always in the habit of sneaking to the back of the house to smoke cigarette. And this she does everyday,” he said.

According to her, this act is known to her neighbours also.

“I was stunned when I heard this and I asked her. After persuading her for long, she confessed to me that she smokes because she feels lonely since I travel often. “She later left for Lagos leaving our baby with my mother. She came back one day for the baby and carried her to her mother’s place without my consent or my mother’s knowledge.

“Since then it has been difficult seeing the child. Anytime she sights me coming to visit the baby, she hides her from me. This went on until a day I insisted I must see the child. Things turned rough and we fought. “Her mother later came with a policeman to arrest me and my mother with the allegation that I stole her N30,000 the day her daughter and I fought in her home.

“My lord, I’ve faced enough embarrassment. I’m through with this union, please separate us,” he concluded.

The defendant, Opeyemi Daudu, who was reprimanded by the judge for laughing while the plaintiff was talking, denied the allegations levelled against her by her husband.

“My husband is a liar, I have never smoked in my life,” she said.

The woman, who also expressed her readiness to have her marriage to the plaintiff terminated, said,

”My husband abandoned me and our baby in my mother’s place for two years not caring about our welfare. “Our child was with my mother-in-law for a certain period, throughout all this time, she failed to give her proper care.

“There was a day I went to her place to see my baby. I met my baby in front of the house in the rain. I went in and saw there was no one at home. I carried my baby and left for my mum’s house. “My husband later came with some of his friends to my mum’s house and broke bottles all over the place. They stabbed my mother with broken bottle and destroyed her property.

“My elder sister and I were also stripped naked, beaten to a pulp and left in the pool of our blood. Her handset was also destroyed. “In the course of the fight, my mother’s N30,000, which she kept with me was stolen by my husband . The money was meant for her firewood business.

“I kept the money in a small plastic bag and hid it in my bra, but it fell off when Tunde tore my bra. He picked the money and went away with it. “My mother later reported him to the police. He denied stealing the money and he’s yet to make a refund. “I’m tired of his frequent beatings and public disgrace, I therefore agree to a divorce,” she stated.

After listening to the two parties, the president of the court, observed that there was no more love between the two. He, therefore, dissolved the union and offered the custody of the three-year-old child to the mother.

The court also ruled that the plaintiff should be responsible for the feeding, schooling, healthcare and general welfare of the baby.

How To Differentiate Between Plastic Rice & Original Rice

How To Differentiate Between Plastic Rice & Original Rice

There are reports that China has been producing fake rice which is mixed with plastic for exportation to other countries including Nigeria. Consumption of such is extremely harmful to the body system. These are few tips to identify plastic rice.
1. The mortar and pestle test: When molding a few grains of rice with a mortar and pestle, if the powder gives a quite white colour, you are good to go but it has a yellow discoloration, your rice must be fake.
2. The fire test: You know what plastic smells like right. So, get a lighter and burn a handful of rice. If it catches fire and smells like burnt plastic, you have fake rice.
3. The water test: Get a glass of cold water. Pour a tablespoon of raw rice in the glass and stir. If the rice goes to the bottom, it is all good. If it floats at the top, be careful because it means it contains ‘plastic rice’. Do not eat.
4. The mold test: Boil the rice. Leave it in a warm place for like 2-3 days. If mold does not appear in a few days, your rice is fake and should not be consumed. It will not get mold because plastic is not affected by the weather or temperature.
5. The boiling test: Observe the rice while boiling. If it starts forming a thick layer at the top of the pot, it is ‘plastic rice’.
6. The hot oil test: Just take some of the rice drop into some real hot oil. If it is plastic, it will melt or stick together or stick at the bottom of the pan. Share these tips with your friends and family so they do not end up eating ‘plastic rice’.
Do not consume plastic rice. Be careful
How To Make Him Actually Want To Marry You – Must read for ladies

How To Make Him Actually Want To Marry You – Must read for ladies

When you truly love someone, the general path you foresee is marriage. But how do you go from being just another girl to actual marriage material? What will make him want to spend the rest of his life with you? You don’t want to change who you are, but there are certainly small things you can do to create a more meaningful bond and make him want to commit. Of course, there are plenty of things he needs to do for you, too, but if you’re even thinking of spending your life with him, hopefully that’s already happening.
Here are 8 ways to make him actually want to marry you, and small changes you can make for everlasting love:
1. Take care of yourself.  First and foremost, attraction is critical in any relationship. Although your commitment to your relationship should be a top priority, don’t let your commitment to yourself and your well-being suffer. It’s a bit superficial, but it’s the truth – you need to maintain yourself to keep the attraction lasting in an everlasting relationship. Stay active, eat well, take time to see your friends and family, and make sure you do things that you enjoy. Keep your mind active, pursue your education and career goals; taking care of yourself also includes fostering your own mental and emotional growth outside of the relationship. If you don’t look and feel your best, your partner will be able to notice. He wants that confident, beautiful, and sexy woman that you truly are; don’t neglect yourself, and make taking care of yourself a priority.

2. Don’t act out. You will have fights, you will have tough times, and you will go through frustrating experiences, both with your partner and in your own personal life. He wants a partner who is understanding and can get through those difficult times during a marriage. Before you lash out at him, take a deep breath and calm your emotions. When you remain calm and express yourself, you allow room for both of you to improve your communication and connection. If something is your fault, accept responsibility for it and apologize; doing so will teach him to do the same, and bring you closer in your relationship.
3. Trust him implicitly. If you know he loves you, you need to trust him. Sometimes, it can be hard to let go of your insecurities and trust anyone. If you want this relationship to work, and you want him to see a future with you, you have to let him know that you see his trustworthiness. Keep your promises, and he will likely do the same. If he doesn’t, and abuses your trust in him, then he’s not the man you are meant to be with.
4. Be comfortable in your own skin. He’ll see you in the morning with no make-up, no clothes, and no distractions. Be comfortable in your own skin! He can sense insecurity from a mile away, and no man wants to be with a woman who constantly doubts and criticizes herself. Be spontaneous, embrace your body, show your happiness, and express how lucky he is to have you. You are GREAT, and he would be privileged to have you as his wife.
5. Show your affection. We all want to be held, kissed, and praised by our partner. He wants to see that you can keep those romantic gestures, sensual touches, and loving demeanor alive on a daily basis. Hold his hand; don’t be afraid to be affectionate. Tell him how much you love him and just how much he means to you. Comment on how nice he looks today, or how proud you are of him for his promotion at work. No one can read your mind; even if you are thinking about how much you care for him, how will he know if you don’t say it regularly? We all need reassurance; make sure you provide him with those constant gestures of affection.
6. Be appreciative. Obviously, you should be appreciative for the major things, like exchanging of gifts and moments where he is a huge support to you. But don’t neglect being appreciative for the small things. When he quickly buys you your latte at Starbucks, say thank you. If he holds the door, smile. He’s looking for a woman who will recognize and acknowledge his kind and loving gestures. Show him how much you appreciate every little thing he does for you, and he will do the same.
7. Be the calm in his storm. He’s going to go through tough times, and needs a partner who can be his voice of reason. He’s not looking for someone to make him more anxious and stressed out; that’s when he will run. Be that calm, wise and loving force in his difficult times. He will notice that and want you constantly around to help him improve as an individual.
8. Show your loyalty. If you want him to commit to you, you have to commit to him. Make your relationship a priority; don’t necessarily drop everything else in your life, but show him that you are loyal and committed to this relationship. Marriage material means being loyal, so take this step as your most important action in showing him what you are worth. Implement these changes and improvement, and you on the way to creating that everlasting bond.

Governor Fayose Wears Shorts To 2016 Budget Signing Event….

The Governor of Ekiti State, Mr. Ayodele Fayose, will never cease to amaze the public and Ekiti people as he wore shorts yesterday to the signing event of the state’s 2016 budget.
The governor had attracted criticisms last week when he appeared before the State House of Assembly to defend the proposed N67bn Ekiti State 2016 Budget, as he brought out a gavel and symbolically “passed” the budget into law after presenting the proposal to lawmakers.
Fayose was also criticized for his choice of dressing. He wore T-shirt and jeans, which critics say diminishes the office he occupies. However, he was unfazed and apparently wanted to give his critics more things to talk about. He decided to wear shorts.

Real Story Behind The Photo Of Female Doctor Who Backed Her Child While Operating On A Pregnant Woman

On the 5th of last month, medical practitioners in Kenya took to the streets demanding for an improved pay package and better working condition in line with an agreement signed by the unions and government in 2013.

Sadly, they were dispersed by the Kenyan Police, who used tear gas on them.

Bringing to fore the inadequacies in her country, Swabra Swaleh Breik, a Kenyan Doctor shared on her Facebook page, how she had to perform a surgery with her sick child on her back, while she was also pregnant and not feeling too good.

The photo went viral on the internet but many did not know why she had to do it.

According to her, there was no one to help her with her baby as all available persons were busy; meanwhile, she had to carry out the surgery to save a mother and her child.

She wrote, I hate and love this picture because it depicts my life, to be specific my career life in equal measures. I had my Sick and cranky son with me in theatre because on that specific call week, I had no nanny, my able nanny was at a burial. my partner was away, we worked in different hospitals hundreds of kilometers apart.

It was a weekend, so no colleague would have helped. The understaffed Olkalou district hospital has only one doctor covering the hospital every night and all weekend. no nurse would have helped carry my temi, they were engaged in labour suite, the only available nurse covering the hospital had gone for a referral to nakuru pgh. everything had worked to lead us here. I was three months pregnant. It was not the first time. this had happened severally, mostly when, like any mother, previous nannies would be overwhelmed by my call weeks. I hate that I have my son in theatre when he should be well settled in his bed. I hate that I was weak, tired and nauseous, and yet still yielded a knife in my hand. I hate the fact I couldn’t refer this woman, the mother and baby wouldn’t have made it. I love that they both lived. I love that my nanny came back and rescued us. I hate that, after three years of service to Olkalou district hospital the county went ahead to deny me my well deserved study leave despite sponsoring every other doctor therein with less years experience simply because, in their words, “what assurance did they have I’d return as a consultant? “.my last name is swaleh, not kamau, kinyanjui, karanja…. I was forced into a resignation. I hate that the county is still rife with corruption, extravagance, buying Christmas trees worth 2 million each, instead of dealing with all these inadequacies, failed systems, instead of paying me my well deserved money. I’ve neared that point where I’ll no longer care, I’ve given way too much of myself, my family, my kid, my marriage, my emotions, my health, to this failed system. Like a damaged lover who takes all the life from you and leaves you as a shell of your former self.this failed system keeps stealing my joy in this great profession. Only the CBA can right these wrongs. It is not government pay doctors. No. For what is a full pocket if I still have to go through all these motions again? It is, government implement the cba. Simple. I want my stolen joy restored. Kenyans should be asking for their joy too. Tell me how comfortable you would be seeing your pregnant surgeon carrying a cranky sick crying toddler. #lipakamatender

I did not divert pension funds as VC, says JAMB Registrar

The Registrar Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board ( JAMB), Professor Is-haq O. Oloyede, yesterday rubbished reports that he diverted pension funds during his tenure as the Vice Chancellor of the University of Ilorin. He also said he was never involved in any N3.5billion fraud at any point in time. He said he has never in his life collected bribe or inflated contracts. Oloyede was reacting yesterday to a petition sent to the Ibadan Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission(EFCC) against him and the current Vice Chancellor of UNILORIN by some members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities( ASUU). The JAMB Registrar attributed the petition to some of the lecturers of the University of Ilorin who were sacked but later reinstated on the order of the Supreme Court. He insisted that he did not at any time tamper with the pensions of staff as a Vice Chancellor. He said:
“The Pension Act of 2004 provided that 7.5 per cent of emoluments should be deducted from staff salaries and remitted into their pension accounts with Pension Funds Administrators (PFAs). “Most universities, including the University of Ilorin, based the calculation of 7.5 per cent on basic salary and transport allowance. This was the case between July 2004 and December 2006 before I became Vice-Chancellor. “ I know no PFA and if salaries were deducted and saved in employees’ accounts, I would not be the beneficiary. “Then, from January 2007, the Government that is matching the employees’ contribution with another 7.5 per cent directed that the deduction should be based on Consolidated Pay. “Some universities were compelled by the fake and fraudulent campus hyenas not to comply with the directive of 2007. “About two years into my tenure, my attention was drawn to the new decision which was of course advantageous to workers whose higher sum was being equally matched by the Government. “I convened a meeting of stakeholders including the Unions on the Government directive and all parties agreed not only to commence the higher savings (which Government doubles rather than double lower contributions) but also to double the difference for a certain number of months to ensure full compliance with effect from the stipulated January 2007. “I summoned the Ilorin representatives of all the PFAs to reiterate the date of compliance from when higher matching additions from Government should also be credited to each contributor’s account. “Any averagely educated person would understand who the beneficiaries of the compliance are, who for their tomorrow sacrifice a part of today’s comfort rather than the unreasonable agitators who insist on consuming tomorrow. “Some universities under the spell of some club crawlers do not comply to the eventual disadvantage of their unfortunate retirees and perhaps to the advantage of clever PFAs. “If those who parade doctoral degrees cannot understand this simple logic, may God save Nigeria from the anarchists. I as Vice-Chancellor complied and I believe few other universities did. How that would benefit me personally baffles me. He said he has never in his life collected bribe or inflated contracts. Oloyede added: “I am extremely selective in accepting gifts from even personal friends. My needs are limited and my legitimate income is sufficient to spend on my volunteer work.

I have never in my life collected bribe, inflated contracts, extorted anyone nor accepted gifts beyond “Thank You greeting cards” from any contractor, dead or alive. “As Vice-Chancellor, I started the practice of publishing the financial transactions of the University every Monday in a publication circulated far and wide by hand and online. This has happily been sustained by my successor to-date. “Those who have skeletons in their cupboards don’t choose to publish their financial details.

I am aware many universities don’t do so till today and the charlatans who make frivolous allegations against me should mention their mentors who do so. “Information Technology is good to determine the quality of the hirelings assembled to assassinate my character.

The only one I faintly know among them led his pastor and his father-in-law, a former Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ibadan, to me in order to mount pressure on me to offer his wife, the Vice-Chancellor’s daughter, a temporary appointment as an Assistant Lecturer. I bulged to pressure out of deference to the father-in-law (because the Department could do without an additional lecturer) and the man of God. But soon thereafter, this character became a strong advocate of withdrawal of the power of temporary appointment of the Vice-Chancellor! “I do not claim perfection as it is the exclusive preserve of the Almighty Allah but I dare say I stand on a higher moral pedestal than “the 49 liars” and their masters. God will continue to keep them busy and they shall continue to lament their failure at the University of Ilorin and in life precipitated by their own inner insolvency. The barking of dogs does not affect the flight of a plane. “This statement is just to re-assure my admirers that the allegations against me are like pure wind with no solidity. I remain who I have ever been by the special grace of Allah, the Almighty. “Lastly, my explanation does not foreclose the possibility of legal action against the authors of the campaign of calumny against me and their willing collaborators.
